Why TV Needs ID

In 2019, Samba TV was expanding into Europe. So what better place to go than Cannes, France, where the creative industry from around the world celebrates their best achievements?

Heading to Cannes Lions also allowed me to understand the privacy regulations that exist within the EU. These regulations are now being used in the US. In fact, California has already enacted them (But they won’t go into effect until 2023.) Luckily, we have been able to prepare for them, thanks to our research of the European market.

I also talk about how Samba TV is a “recommendation engine” for people who want to get their ads in front of the right people. The Cannes Lions is a festival of creativity. Because of this, I knew that the solution that Samba TV offers would thrive at this event.
